How is the Sofwave administered?

Sofwave is administered as a non-invasive ultrasound treatment applied externally to the skin—there are no injections and no surgery involved.

How Sofwave is administered

  1. Skin preparation

    • The treatment area (face, neck, or body) is cleaned.

    • A topical numbing cream is usually applied for about 30–45 minutes to reduce discomfort.

  2. Ultrasound gel applied

    • A conductive ultrasound gel is spread on the skin to help transmit energy from the device into the tissue.

  3. Handheld device treatment

    • The clinician uses a handheld Sofwave device and moves it across the skin.

    • The device delivers short pulses of focused ultrasound energy every few seconds to the mid-dermis (~1.5 mm depth).

  4. Collagen stimulation

    • The ultrasound energy creates controlled heat in the dermal layer, which stimulates collagen and elastin production, tightening the skin over time
